Clades
Lyrics
Would you die,
Would you die for a false decree?
Would you hear my plea?
Would you stand by me?
We’re the swarm
We’re the scourge of the Earth
(The Earth we ransacked)
There’s a storm
A cold, black birth
(It’s too abstract)
A cattle farm
Worshipped from the dirt
(We’ve been to Hell and back)
We all squirm
And we don’t see the worth
(We’re left with the blowback)
We’re all worthy of
The bloodthirsty love
From the above
So join me below
I played along
But it’s all wrong
The pain prolonged
We never belonged here
Would you die, (would you die)
Would you die for a false degree?
Will you hear my plea?
Will you stand by me?
Would you die, (would you die)
Would you die for the truth?
Will you hear my dispute?
Or will you stay in the gloom?
We’re the swarm
We’re the scourge of the Earth
(The Earth we ransacked)
There’s a storm
A cold, black birth
(It’s too abstract)
A cattle farm
Worshipped from the dirt
(We’ve been to Hell and back)
We all squirm
And we don’t see the worth
(We’re left with the blowback)
We’re all worthy of
The bloodthirsty love
From the above
So join me below
I played along
But it’s all wrong
The pain prolonged
We never belonged here

About
The first Sinfonia Borealis to prominently feature synthesizers. The choice to include synthesizers was made to capitalise on the fact this song is about technology. Or, rather, how we humans tend to uncritically adopt new technologies, not realising the potential sacrifices with adopting these new technologies. Examples could include Artificial Intelligence, which requires vast amount of energy for every single interaction, and that energy is in many parts of the world not renewable. Or maybe the widespread use of social media, which is “free” for users to use, but in reality you sacrifice your private information in such a way the people who run these social media services can sell it for profit.
